Title IX — Rights, Reporting & Resources
In accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Midwest College of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine does not discriminate on the basis of sex in its educational programs, activities, or employment practices. The College has designated a Title IX Coordinator and a Deputy to receive reports, oversee investigations, and ensure equitable resolution of all complaints.

Role of the Title IX Coordinator
The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for the following tasks:
- Ensuring prompt and equitable resolution of all complaints.
- Conducting investigations into charges of sexual assault, harassment, and discrimination.
- Conducting student outreach on Title IX rights and available resources.
- Overseeing the central reporting process for federal and state compliance.
- Coordinating training, education, and prevention initiatives.
- Facilitating campus-wide collaboration on Title IX matters.

When to Contact the Title IX Coordinator
Contact the Title IX Coordinator in any of the following circumstances:
- To seek information or training about your rights and available courses of action regarding potential sexual misconduct, harassment, or discrimination based on race, color, religion, creed, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law.
- To file a complaint or report sex discrimination, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and/or sexual assault, or to file a complaint of harassment or discrimination based on any class protected by federal, state, or local law.
- To notify the College of an incident, policy, or procedure that may raise Title IX concerns.
- To obtain information about available resources — including confidential resources — and support services related to sex discrimination, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and sexual assault.
- To ask questions about the College's policies and procedures regarding harassment, discrimination, sexual discrimination, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and/or sexual assault.
